Post 8: Evaluating my professional blog

 I have chose Zero Day as my professional blog. Using the Mercer's University C.R.A.P. test I can see that this is a great source to keep myself informed for the career path that I have chosen.

Currency: Zero Day blog is updated every day, sometimes even more than once.

Relevancy: It covers topics related to the field that I am studying and other related topics as well.

Authority: The news are collected from different news websites from all around the globe. It is hard to determine if all sources used are reliable.

Purpose: The blog has the purpose of gathering news from this field and provide newsletter to professionals that work or study Cybersecurity.

 Bernoff post has clarified to me that academic texts do not have to be outlined in a single manner. Since I come from another country and we have different rules for academic writing, I am still adapting to that kind of "life in a America". Next paper I will try to move away to the boring 3-paragraph style. It works, but sometimes you cannot limit yourself to supporting your ideas on just a few blocks.

 My Post 15 was briefer than I would like. I should probably have explained more ideas of how I prepare myself when writing an academic text. Some advice might encourage other students to look at their writing process in a different way and help in some kind of fashion.
